Michaela Lahat is a photographer currently based in London. She has exhibited works in Brighton, London and Tel-Aviv, and has been published in various magazines, including the Eye of Photography (link to the page). Her latest project explores the banality of human needs.
Michaela’s work focuses on the idealisation of relationships; questioning the intimate experience we grow to expect and the reality we learn to accept. She is interested in the visualisation of memories through patterns which evoke layers of experience, and uses colour and light to examine the tensions between them.
In her art, she investigates the unconscious decisions of her own mind and personal reflection; Exploring the idea that her photographs carry much more information about herself as a photographer than about the subjects they feature.
